19 Movies Wrecked by Ridiculously Lame Villains

Movies are a great source of entertainment and can take us on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. However, the success of a movie also heavily relies on its antagonist or villain. A good villain can make a movie great, but a lousy villain can ruin it entirely. Here are 20 movies with the worst villains that failed to impress the audience.

Mommie Dearest (1981)

A movie that is based on Joan Crawford. The scary thing is that it’s all true and a reflection of how horrible some mothers can be.

Aliens (1986)

At times, greed can muddy rational judgment. In Aliens, Carter Burke is the epitome of placing everyone’s well-being at the expense of money.

Schindler’s List (1993)

Amon Goeth seems to be the embodiment of callousness and cruelty. He tries to discover forgiveness for others, but that’s something that is impossible for him.

RoboCop (1987)

Richard Jones created the robot ED-209, a machine that was fundamentally and deliberately flawed from the beginning. It was from this that Richard Jones could become richer. When things don’t go the way he wants them to, he reverts to violence to deal with the issue.

Hannibal Lecter was bad, but there was another individual in the movie that was worse. Buffalo Bill (aka Jame Gump) loved to kill and skin overweight women. What did he do with the skin? Make a woman suit for himself to wear!

You know, a movie about slavery is going to be deeply moving and shocking. In 12 Years a Slave, Edwin Epps is conceited, abusive, and arrogant. Truly a person with little to no redeemable features.

Léon: The Professional (1994)

Gary Oldman is always incredible to watch. In Leon: The Professional he is Norman Stansfield, a cop that has very little empathy or compassion. He kills a whole family (including the kids) without remorse or pity.

The Conjuring (2013)

Not all villains are people. Annabelle was a doll whose very presence is enough to send shivers down anyone’s spine.

Candyman is ready to rip you apart once you call upon him. Why is he so angry? It seems he is still emotionally disturbed over the breakup with his girlfriend.

Darth Vader is seen as the ultimate evil in Star Wars. Yet, Palapatine is worse. He longs for more power and more control. The way he goes about it is truly cold and remorseless.

Commodus not only commits patricide, but he also places his father’s top general into slavery. Oh…and he killed the general’s family, too. Yep, there is nothing Commodus won’t do to get and keep power.

Wild Bill isn’t in the movie for long, yet when he is he commands a frightening presence. He killed a family, raped kids, and then put it all on John Coffey. There is nothing this evil guy won’t do before he is executed.

Mary Johnson had been verbally and physically abused throughout her life. You think she would have learned about the pain of such torment, Yet, she dishes out the same to her daughter as well as manipulating circumstances for money. Truly a mother from hell.

Pinhead can come across as a villain to some people. Yet, he claims Cenobites are either considered demons or angels (depending on one’s personal take on them). Pinhead used to be Elliot Spencer in his human life, but through disillusionment with humanity decided to become a Cenobite. One thing is for certain, they can kill without guilt.
